Chairman's Chat

October 31, 2024

Welcome to Birmingham Advanced Motorcyclists. I am Neil Loxton Chairman and IMI National observer for IAM RoadSmart.

I have only been the Chairman since January 2025. It has always been a goal of mine to hold this position in this amazing club.

As an associate or full member, you have the opportunity to socialise with likeminded people (that's a scary thought). There is a vast amount of knowledge in the room at any club night, and to top it all off, each month we get an expert view on things from Marcus, by way of an excellent presentation, which is informative and always full of humour -he really knows his stuff (but don't tell him I said that).

We meet at The National Motorcycle Museum, every first Wednesday of the month starting at 19:30. I have found the members of this club, of which there are now over 300, are some of the friendliest people I know.

Additionally, we have organised ride outs every weekend and special ride outs (FMRs -Full Member Rideout) for those who have passed their advanced test.

If you think that this may be for you then either join online, or book a try before you buy alternatively come and visit us at the museum on a Wednesday.

Come along and say hello.

Looking forward to meeting you all.
